I’m reminded of all the comics of my childhood that were cancelled in the middle of a multi-part story and the end eventually appeared, and usually years later, in Marvel Two-in-One. Ah, good times.
IIRC, the first volume of DC’s Mister Miracle ended on a cliffhanger. Scott Free escaped cancellation and didn’t need Ben Grimm’s help to do it. But wouldn’t that have been cool?
